Attorney Volunteers of the Year

Christine Wee — Intake Volunteer of the Year
Christine has volunteered more than 100 hours since beginning as a volunteer in April 2012. She is compassionate with clients and is always willing to fill in on short notice. Christine has also volunteered her time completing a certificate of good conduct and a clemency petition.

Kyle Harvey — Help Desk Volunteer of the Year
Kyle has volunteered over 300 hours to CGLA since beginning as a volunteer in August 2011. She spends time at the Expungement Help Desk assisting individuals with overcoming their past. Kyle also volunteers at 26th and California, stepping up with clients as they take the final steps in clearing their record.

 

Law Student Volunteers of the Year

Sarah Ferguson and Chris Kelleher
Sarah and Chris have been vital members of CGLA’s Criminal Records Corps. They have volunteered their time each Saturday to assist researching client records and are so dedicated they have been nicknamed “the Faithfuls” by supervising attorney Cynthia Cornelius.

 

Community Volunteer of the Year

Cherese Williams
Cherese is a valuable asset to CGLA, volunteering over 240 hours since beginning in June 2011. She has been our most dedicated volunteer at our Markham Help Desk, filling a void to allow us to provide services to the community there. She has also given her time as a paralegal and assisted with case handling.
